Kristina Fialová graduated from Conservatory of Brno (class of Miroslav Kovář) and PhD program at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (prof. Jan Pěruška) and in April 2015 she had her debut from the Soloist Class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen (prof. Tim Frederiksen and prof. Lars Anders Tomter). Since October 2014 she has been studying at the Hochschüle für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden in Meisterklasse (prof. Vladimir Bukac). Kristina has also participated various master classes with famous soloists and teachers around the world (Leif Ove Andsnes, Wolfram Christ, Tatiana Masurenko, Sheila Browne, Jerry Horner, Helen Callus, Charles Avsharian, Václav Hudeček, Siegfried Frühlinger).
She is a prize winner of many international competitions – Talents for Europe, Conservatory Competition, international competition ACT London, Beethoven competition, Forbes Competition, Alexander and Buono International String Competition, Val Tidone Competition, Danish soloist competition, Johannes Brahms competition. In September 2013 she was an absolute winner at the Michal Spisak viola competition in Katowice.
Kristina has cooperated as a soloist or chamber musician with Czech and foreign soloists (Radovan Vladkovič, Sophia Jaffé, Václav Hudeček, Arild Remmereit, Atos trio, Petr Nouzovský, Tomáš Brauner, Adam Skoumal, Stanislav Vavřínek, Slawomir Chrzanowski, Ivo Kahánek, Rafael Payare, Alexander Gilman, Kocian´s Quartet) and with orchestras (Copenhagen philharmonic, Aarhus Symphony orchestra, Prague philharmonia, Pilsner philharmonic, Czech national symphony orchestra, Janáček philharmonic, Philharmony of Brno, Bohuslav Martinů philharmony, Zabrze philharmonic, Moravian philharmonic, Slovak Chamber orchestra of Bohdan Warchal, Czech chamber soloists).
Kristina has performed in most of European countries, Asia, Africa and the US. Among her festival invitations are included Prague premiers, Celebrates of music Prague, Hindsgavl Festival, South Bohemia Chamber music Festival, Copenhagen Summer Festival, Mahler´s Jihlava, renowned Festival Internacional de Santander in Spain or Bergen international festival in Norway. In 2012 she made her solo debut at the most famous Danish festival – Tivoli Festival in Copenhagen.
In concert season 2014/15 Kristina will perform with several major Czech orchestras and at the music festivals around the Europe and Asia (Bratislava, Milano, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Copenhagen, Warsaw, Stuttgart).
Kristina has also made numerous recordings for Czech and Danish Radio broadcasting companies. She is featured on 6 CD recordings for Dacapo and ArcoDiva labels.
Kristina plays „Carlo Antonio Testore – Contrada 1745″ viola and her bow is from Petr Auředník´s atelier.
