Hungarian violinist Sándor Jávorkai (1976) studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest and at the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna, where he graduated with distinction in 2004 and obtained also at the same university a doctorate in musicology. He has participated in master classes with a few internationally renowned artists, including Isaac Stern, Tibor Varga and Vladimir Spivakov. The exceptional talent’s deep musicality and effortless virtuosic violin playing has been distinguished exclusively with the first prizes in numerous international competitions.

As a soloist, he has concertized with renowned orchestras such as Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Dresden Philharmonic, Budapest Philharmonic and many other. Concert travels have led Sándor Jávorkai throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. He has performed at important concert halls such as Vienna Konzerthaus, Berlin Konzerthaus, in “Forbidden City” in Beijing, Opera City in Tokyo and other. He has performed at many famous festivals as Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Budapest Spring Festival. Sándor Jávorkai performed with great success at the gala concert in Vienna Konzerthaus with Roby Lakatos, Rolando Villazón, Julius Drake, Michel Camilo and other well-known musicians.
